- Worm castings stimulate soil biology as well as plant physiology, encouraging the plant to grow and keep its immune system strong and ready. Castings, aka worm poop, can be mixed into potting soil, top-dressed around transplants, or used to make a worm tea that can be sprayed on the leaves of the plants.
